Cobb has been selected to replace the Honorable Robert A. McQuaid, Jr. as a United States Magistrate Judge in Reno, Nevada upon Judge McQuaid’s retirement in September, 2011. Mr. Cobb must first undergo investigations ...]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Chief Judge Roger L. Hunt, of the United States District Court for the District of<br />
Nevada, has announced that William G. Cobb has been selected to replace the Honorable<br />
Robert A. McQuaid, Jr. as a United States Magistrate Judge in Reno, Nevada upon Judge<br />
McQuaid’s retirement in September, 2011. Mr. Cobb must first undergo investigations by<br />
the FBI and IRS, which are estimated to take between 10 to12 weeks. If approved, Mr.<br />
Cobb, who is presently a Shareholder with Erickson, Thorpe, &amp; Swainston, Ltd., will serve<br />
primarily in Reno. The term of appointment is eight years.</p>
