Charity F. Felts, a second generation Nevadan, was raised in Winnemucca, Nevada. She graduated in 1998 from the University of Nevada, Reno, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Human Resources Management. She graduated from St. Mary’s University School of Law cum laude in 2007, where she was a published Staff Writer for The Scholar Law Review.

Ms. Felts was admitted to the State Bar of Nevada in 2007. She is a member of the Washoe County Bar Association, the Association of Defense Counsel of Nevada, the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California and Nevada, the Defense Research Institute, the Northern Nevada Women Lawyers Association, the Northern Nevada Human Resources Association, the Society for Human Resource Management and the Association of Workplace Investigators.

Ms. Felts has published the following articles:  “Employee Handbooks:  They’re Not Just for Show,” “Web Accessibility Under the ADA” and “Selecting a Workplace Investigator” (NNHRA/NNBW Human Resources & Employment Guide, Feb. 2017).   She has also presented at various seminars, classes and conferences throughout Nevada on the topics of employee handbooks, the Americans with Disabilities Act, social media and bullying in the workplace and workplace investigations.

In 2015, Ms. Felts completed a rigorous workplace investigation training administered by the Association of Workplace Investigators (“AWI”).  The certificate of completion demonstrates that Charity is trained in the most current methods for conducting quality and impartial workplace investigations.
