Our firm has wide-ranging knowledge and experience in employment matters, including employee misconduct and termination; employment discrimination, harassment, and retaliation; student abuse and molestation; and denials of civil rights. We advise clients regarding compliance with the most current amendments to the Americans with Disabilities Act, as they applies to both employees and students, as well as compliance with Titles IV, VI, VII and IX; the Fair Labor Standards Act; the Age Discrimination in Employment Act; the Rehabilitation Act of 1973; and state law provisions concerning employment under the Nevada Revised Statutes.

We also have extensive experience in the application of federal and state laws concerning the education of students, including the protection of privacy rights through the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, the implementation of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act for all students, and the education of students with disabilities under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and the Nevada Administrative Code.

In addition to litigation services, the firm assists school districts by providing proactive, preventative services in order to minimize or avoid liability, including extensive training and technical assistance, policy and procedure development, and early resolution of case-specific disputes.
